M'Asal Beag Dubh : Group Exhibition Opening
18:30 - 20:00
Over ten weeks, eleven artists came together in community to create contemporary visual interpretations of the classic tale M’Asal Beag Dubh by Pádraic Ó Conaire. Drawing on their own unique life experiences and individual artistic practices, the artist group collectively explored the story. The story became a tool for shared conversation, a means to reflect on a past while deepening our understanding of the present.
The artists are: Johanna Cooke, Eleanor Duggan, Joan Finnegan, Kaye Maahs, Colette McHugh, Stephanie McLaughlin, Hilary Morley, Deirdre Murphy, Hugh Murphy, Noreen O'Sullivan and Rachel Varden
The Curator and Facilitator of the project is Joanna McGlynn
