On our second day of touring Dublin we will be able to enjoy the culture of the city and be entertained by street performers as we walk through one of Dublin’s main shopping centers, Grafton Street, as well as the well-known St Stephen’s Green Mall which is directly across from the very park it was named after. We will be given access to the Guiness Storehouse at St. James Gate where we will learn about the history of the famous stout and be able to have a pint of Guiness right from the source on the top floor at the Gravity Bar while we enjoy 360 degree views high above the historic Dublin rooftops. From there we will be headed to the Old Jameson Distillery and be given a guided tour and a comparative whiskey tasting. A few blocks away is The Brazen Head, the oldest bar in Ireland. Established in 1198 it is still one of the best spots to grab a pint. Again if time and energy allows perhaps your guide will take you to a secret spot only the locals know about.

Day 4 Sunday – Portmagee
On the morning of our fourth day we will be departing Dublin and heading to the South-West tip of Ireland. This drive will be accompanied by breath taking views of the Irish country side and after a very special stop for lunch we will land in the coastal fishing village of Portmagee. Our accommodation will be a two night stay at a local bed and breakfast that overlooks the village’s busy working harbor and within walking distance to the pier, where the boats are departing to the Skellig Islands every morning. This B and B is one of the accomodations used by the crew as they filmed the
Star Wars movies The Last Jedi and The Force Awakens.
Our afternoon and evening will be spent exploring the town and resting up for the next day’s activities. Would you like to hop behind the bar and pour a pint out of the same tap Mark Hammell did? We can set up all kinds of little Star Wars treats like this for you!!
Overnight: Portmagee
Day 5 Monday – Skellig Michael Boat Tour (Star Wars Island)
Our boat departs at 9am headed for Skellig Michael Island. This island features the sites that were used while filming
Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. On the summit of this island is a well preserved sixth century monastic settlement (Ancient Jedi Temple). The island is also the real home to the second largest gannet colony in the world having over 23,000 pairs of gannet birds perched on every ledge available. We will have several hours to explore the island and climb the 600 rocky terrain steps to the peak before returning back to shore. The evening will be at your leisure to explore.
Overnight: Portmagee
Day 6 Tuesday – Cork
After breakfast, we will be heading back east to the coastal city of Cork. We will have a leisurely day of sightseeing, ending at the Blarney castle. We’ll be able to explore the grounds and surrounding gardens and be given the opportunity to climb the steps to kiss the Blarney Stone itself and gain the gift of eloquence just as people from all over the world have done for over 200 years.
Overnight: Cork
Day 7 Wednesday – Cliffs of Mohr/Galway
Wednesday morning we head northwest to County Clare where the Cliffs of Mohr are located. We will have access to the top of the cliffs to take in the astounding views of the Atlantic Ocean as we stand over 700 feet above the crashing waves. On a clear day you can view the Aran Islands in Galway Bay, the Maumturks and Twelve Pins mountain ranges to the north in County Galway, and Loop Head to the south. After exploring the cliffs we will drive north along the coastline to a city full of culture, artistry, and exceptional food and music; Galway. Our final afternoon will be spent exploring this
historic city with sights such as the Spanish Arch, the Galway Cathedral, and St. Nicholas’ Church, which is largest medieval parish church in Ireland and is still in use today.
