The House of Peroni Dublin will bring internationally renowned fashion designer and Creative Council member, Jonathan Saunders, to the residency at 130 – 133 St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin 2 on Friday, 13th July, 2018, for an exclusive fashion talk. Taking place in The House of Peroni Dublin, chaired by Irish-Italian stylist, Aisling Farinella, the talk will delve into Jonathan’s career, his navigation of the fashion industry, and The House of Peroni’s fashion mentorship programme.
The House of Peroni, for the first time ever, will offer one Irish fashion creative access to a group of fashion industry experts who will mentor, counsel and support eight emerging fashion designers over ten months. The Creative Council is led by Jonathan Saunders, the Scottish fashion designer known for his work in prints and silks; Isabella Burley, Editor-in-Chief of Dazed and Confused and Creative Consultant for fashion brands; Pandora Sykes, Londoner, fashion writer and stylist; Alexander Fury, Journalist and Editor of Another Magazine; and Anna Orsini, Strategic Consultant on the British Fashion Council. The chosen Irish designer will also be offered a residency in a fashion studio space in London.
Commenting on his talk at The House of Peroni Dublin, Jonathan Saunders said: ‘The fashion industry is a complex and crowded one to navigate through. With so many brands emerging, it’s critical that you are able to find your own voice, stick to your guns and pursue your own point of view. Now it’s easier than ever to grow an international brand from your bedroom, as long as designers are able to articulate their own design vocabulary. It’s exciting that the route to success is not as formulaic as it used to be. There are many ways to establish a brand and communicate and connect with your customer. As a member of the house of Peroni’s creative council, I look forward to working with my peers to help steer the eight emerging designers on the best course for their career.
