Dublin Marathon Training - Phoenix Park

10 Mile race is on in the park this morning which Maeve is running so i will take any of the Marathon Training runners who are not racing.
Plan is to meet at the Visitors Centre at 8:50 for warmup and start running at 9:00. Route will be worked out closer to the day but we need to be aware of the road closures for the race.
Plan is to get about 18K done before returning to the Visitors Centre at a pace of 5:10 per Km
Run with friendly, similar like minded runners who are training for the already fully booked DCM on the 28th October. We'll have a specific training schedule for long runs every Saturday commencing end of June to the end October. Ideally you need to be able to run a marathon in sub 4 hours to keep with this group as we'll be running at a pace of 5:15 - 5:30 km/hour.
The focus of the group is to build up distance, run together as a group & have people to run with to make the long runs seem less painful. Depending on the distance for our Saturday run we'll have different starting times (most around the 9am or 8:30am starting time) We'll always join the Dublin Runners Phoenix Park 10km group for coffee/cake in the Visitor Centre after our run for 11am.
