Safe Ireland cordially invites you to our summer seminar to mark the enactment of the ground-breaking Domestic Violence Act 2018 and to explore the legal changes it will advance for women and children.
We will also be launching our new Legal Advocacy and Information Unit.

Davina James-Hanman, Expert on the implementation of the offence of coercive control, as a pivotal advancement in the new Act.
Senator Colette Kelleher, who will reflect on the collaboration that defined the development and passage of the Act.
Senator Ivana Bacik, who will look at other criminal aspects of the new legislation.
Keith Walsh, Chair of the Family and Child Law Committee of the Law Society of Ireland, who will consider how the law can be put into place in civil proceedings.
