The Pianist’s Salon: A 10-week course at the Royal Irish Academy of Music
Would you like to join a weekly gathering of piano teachers and adult pianists who will perform for each other and be tutored by one of RIAM’s most noted pedagogues?
Then this course is for you!
Join Professor Anthony Byrne on this interactive, lively and varied course between January and March 2018.
Anthony’s course will cover the following:
Constructive feedback on your own piano performance
Detailed advice on your issues when teaching Local Centre exam piano pieces and scales
Going that extra mile – polishing students for their optimum performance
Developing good piano technique in all ages and stages
A journey of discovery – understanding what makes the great pianists ‘great’
Ten Friday mornings from 10am to 12 noon
12/1, 19/1, 26/1, 2/2, 9/2, 16/2, 23/2, 2/3, 13/3, 23/3
WHO SHOULD APPLY
As performance is a critical part of this course, participants should be piano teachers or adult pianists who would be at least grade 8 standard and who are still actively playing the piano.
All students will receive a certificate of completion from the RIAM.
