WRITERS GAME Empowers Writers of Film, Games, Books and VR/AR

Sat, 17 Nov 2018 - Sun, 18 Nov 2018
08:30 - 17:00

Our speakers and instructors have put together workshops which will quite literally transform your writing career.

Writers change the world. Over two days, WRITERS GAME will empower you to ascend.

Presented by some of the best global content creators from film, games, comics, books and VR, who love what they do and love to share, our WRITERS GAME events include masterclasses, workshops, and networking opportunities.

We’ll give you the tools you need to become a sustainable creative enterprise. From creators who have sold milllions of books, written for almost every major film and game studio.

Smash it in writing for one or all of these media.

"We live in an increasingly cross-media age, and I know first-hand that a writer's career can depend on their ability to navigate the pitfalls of working in different media. It's a pleasure to be invited to a conference focusing on this often-overlooked aspect of the writing life."- Antony Johnston, creator of THE COLDEST CITY, which became the hit movie ATOMIC BLONDE starring Charlize Theron; the epic series WASTELAND, one of only a handful of such longform achievements in comics; and DEAD SPACE, a videogame that redefined its genre.

--- Full Weekend Pass & Student Ticket: Gives you access to Saturday and Sunday morning masterclasses & panels + your choice of afternoon workshop track + Sat eve mixer. You'll need to select which track you want to take, no matter which ticket you buy.

IMPORTANT: Virtual Reality Breakout Workshops Will Repeat Saturday Afternoon's Material on Sunday.

--- Super Combo Ticket: Gives you discounted access to Saturday and Sunday morning masterclasses & panels + your choice of afternoon workshop track + Sat eve mixer, AND gives you access to the Dublin Games Festival and their Business Zone which takes place November 24th.

Do you write or want to write for film, games, books, comics or VR/AR? And if so could you ramp up your game? Do you want the ability to move from one to the other or write for more than one genre?

Or are you just getting started? Do you have a brilliant novel brewing? Can’t get those crazy game characters out of your head? Spend your days dreaming about scripts or comic characters?

Is it time to become the creative director of your writing career, leave the day job behind for good?

If the answer is YES to ANY of the above, then WRITERS GAME is the event for you.

Please note: Focused workshops form the majority of our event and so spaces are limited.
