Garda Tony Golden Memorial Cycle - Random Breath Test

The Garda Tony Golden Memorial Cycle is an event organised by friends and colleagues of Tony. This is the third year of this event and cyclists of all levels are invited to take part. Last year event was a hugh success as 250 cyclists took part in the Passport Challenge.
This year there are 2 different routes that will cater for all cyclists.
Route 1 - Cycle from Blackrock and pass through Omeath (115k)
Route 2 - Cycle from Blackrock to Cooley Kickhams GFC and back (55k)
The Random Breath Test Sportive is now open to cyclists. All routes will begin and end at the Community Centre in Blackrock, Co. Louth. A route plan for each cycle will be emailed to you closer to the event. Please complete all sections of the booking form.
This is a fundrasing event, with proceedings going to the Aoibheann’s Pink Tie. All cyclists will be ‘Breath Tested’ (Not a real breath test) at the refreshment stop in Cooley Kickhams GFC and will receive a ticket. This ticket could correspond to a spot prize on completion of the cycle at Blackrock so keeping the ticket safe is essential.
Refreshments will be provided along the route and a light meal provided on completion in Blackrock Community Centre. A medal has been commissioned for the event and all cyclists who register will receive one on completion.
For those that want to make it a more sociable occassion a night of "craic agus ceol" is organised from 8pm in the Clermont Arms, Blackrock.
