What is our 300hour Yoga Teacher Training Immersion?
The Vitality Traditional School of Yoga (VTSOY) 300 hour(Internationally recognised Yoga Alliance) Yoga Teacher Training Upgrade Immersion is rich with daily practice in pranayama, asana, meditation and philosophy study while expanding and developing teaching skills! The immersions consist of 10 modules, delivered over 15 Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) in the Heart Wings, Lucan.

It is led by highly experienced Tutors Tara Vitality O’Neill, Lucy Cullen, Yasia Leiserach, and Connie Walsh with guest tutors Catherine Henley and Marion Buechner.
Who is it for?
This program is for those who have completed their RYT200 hour training and wish to immerse themselves in the traditional yoga while upgrading to RYT500.
What is included?
Each module for the teacher training immersions includes detailed instruction and practice in various styles of Hatha Yoga such as Restorative, Therapeutic, Cancer Care, Vini Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga. We enjoy a variety of meditations, mantra, chanting, sound healing and pranayama.
Sessions include explorations in the anatomy of movement in asana, modifications with and without props, developing alignment cues, hands-on assists, journey through our chakras(energy centres),sequencing for advanced asanas, leading meditation, mantra , mudras, voice work and an introduction to sound healing for your class. Our yoga teacher training courses are an empowering journey of self-discovery and transformation through an immersive learning process.

Yin Yoga Teacher Training (Level 1) Our 4 day Yin Yoga Teacher Training program will provide you with a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of yin yoga, direct experience of the practice based on Yoga philosophy and ancient Chinese wisdom, and equip you with the teaching skills and practice for you to effectively share the depth of the Yin Yoga practice with others.

Module 2(July 20th/21st 2019)- Yasia Leiserach
Introduction to Bhakti Yoga This weekend with Yasia will be an introduction to Bhakti Yoga and Voice work. Bhakti Yoga is one of the limbs of yoga, the aspect of yoga that places surrendering to Love, the Heart, as a root to the Divine. We will explore and study the practice of Bhakti Yoga through Chanting - this is a nondenominational practice and you do not need to be able to sing/ or have a ‘good’ voice in any way to participate! During the weekend Yasia will also introduce voice work, an approach to supporting and developing your voice, providing you with some simple exercises that open and empower your voice, as tool to hold and direct your class, and also as a way to tap in to more of your Essence, more of who you are. The aim of the weekend is to give you some of the basic principles of Bhakti yoga and to experience the power of mantra and chant both for your own practice, and for sharing with your students should you wish to. The voice work exercises will support you to open your voice and develop your confidence in using your voice to teach.
Module 3(August 10th/11th 2018)- Tara Vitality O’Neill and Guest Tutor Catherine Henley
Vinyasa Strength and Core This training is designed to introduce you to Vinyasa, Strength and Core Yoga infusing intelligence and inspiration into your practice and classes
Teachers will gain competency in base sequencing, as well as assisting/adjusting, and demonstrating. You will leave this training inspired to practice and share your knowledge. (More info to follow)

Module 5 (Oct 5th/6th) - Connie Walsh
Cancer Conscious Care Yoga This four day training will be led by Connie an experienced Yoga Therapist/Nurse. The training will cover yoga structure and supports as well as medical terminology, treatments and side effects of both the illness itself and the treatments. We address recovery pathways and important transitions to look out for, referral guidelines and the importance of reflective practice. There will be case studies to complete before the last day of the training in December
Module 6(Nov 2nd/3rd) – Lucy Cullen
The Viniyoga of Yoga “The spirit of Viniyoga is starting from where one finds oneself. As everybody is different and changes from time to time, There can be no common starting point, and ready-made answers are useless. The present situation must be examined and the habitually established status must be re-examined.” – TKV Desikachar
An introduction to the Viniyoga of Yoga which is the appropriate application of Yoga as taught in the lineage of Krishnamacharya in order to make Yoga available to all while respecting differences in age, health and life circumstances. This approach is a process that uses each of the eight limbs of yoga and in particular explores how the power of the breath can be used in the practice. Vinyasa Krama; Breathing in Asana; Pratikryasana; Modification & Variation; Dynamic Vs Static. Concepts from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali to guide and support our practice. Pranayama; Chant and Meditation
Module 5b (Dec 14th/15th) - Connie Walsh Cancer Conscious Care Yoga – weekend 2
Module 7(Jan Feb 2020 to be arranged) – Lucy and Tara Yoga – a therapeutic approach. Focusing on the needs of individual students and how to facilitate people with medical conditions in a class situation. This part of the course will look at some of the common conditions that may present in any yoga class and how we can modify the poses within a group context to avoid further harm or injury and in ways that may help the condition. This module will also include a half day of Chair Yoga which is now so popular among older populations and other groups.
Module 8(March 2020) - Tara and Lucy
Vitality Zen - Restorative Yoga This weekend will offer a retreat-like atmosphere which includes cultivation and awareness of selfcare principles through first-hand experiential learning, and understand how our bodies respond to stress and relaxation. Allow your nervous system to unwind, restore optimal functioning, and find freedom within. In this training you will gain the tools and insight to respond to your own body’s needs and to guide others to release into a deep relaxation response physically, intellectually, and emotionally. We will also practice, study and learn restorative asana, the anatomy and physiology of restorative yoga and how to sequence and teach a restorative yoga class
Module 9(April, May, June 2020) –Tara & Lucy Journey through the Chakras: We will journey through your body’s main energy centres, called the Chakras. The chakras influence your sense of wellbeing on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. These are the centres of Prana (lifeforce) and correspond to vital points in the body, major plexuses of arteries, veins and nerves. Through discussion and the practice of Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathwork), Sound, meditation and Mantra, we will delve deeply into each of the 7 main chakras and learn how to recognize, balance and energise each one, unravelling the truest parts of yourself to thrive in your life.
