50th ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL 1968-2018
Leo's Tavern, voted Best Live Music Venue in Ulster by IMRO, celebrates 50 years this year. Leo Brennan, along with his wife Baba opened Leo's in 1968 entertaining visitors and locals nightly with a unique style of his music which Leo passed on to his family, Clannad members Moya, Ciarán, Pól, Padraig and Noel along with recording legend, Enya. Leo’s is now run by his youngest son Bartley who continues to carry on the tradition of entertaining locals & tourists. This year celebrates Leo’s heritage, and the Brennan family legacy, together with the local and international talent and the enduring power of music in this special corner of Ireland.

Clubeo is Leo's monthly singer-songwriting evening which started in 2013 and has produced a number of arists who are now emerging with mainstream music recognition and record deals. This special weekend CLUBEO welcomes the immortal talent of Donovan who emerged as one of the most influential songwriters of the 60's (Mellow Yellow, Hurdy Gurdy Man, Catch The Wind) and has contiuned to captivate audiences to this day.
The night's performers are among the creme of songwriters and performers who have been at the forefront of Clubeo's success in \recent years. (Tickets €20)

Leo's is where it all started for Clannad many years ago - and the family come home for this amazing festival weekend. The band return to their roots and will be launching a new CD of a classic 1980 Live concert recording recently unearthed from the archives of a German radio station.
Hazel O'Connor has been a friend of Leo's Tavern and the Brennan family for many years. Besides her hallmark hits (Breaking Glass, Will You) the punk-pop goddess of the 70's has embraced her Irish home with her own take on traditional songs and delivers a performance of energy, excitement and audacity.
Aisling Jarvis, opening the night, is one of the new generation of the 'Clannad family' who is taking that musical heritage into the 21st century with passion and musical sensibility. (Tickets 25 euro)

In the spirit of Leo Brennan's magical musical nights the festival Sunday night will bring the best in Donegal traditional music from female super-group, T with the Maggies (MAIGHREAD & TRIONA NÍ DHOMHNAILL, MAIREAD NÍ MHAONAIGH AND MOYA BRENNAN), the exceptional voices of the Rodgers family from Rannafast along with Daniel O'Donnell who brings the warmth of his songs as a master of the international stage. Local actors and spoken word maestros, Niall Mac Eachmharcaigh & Aodh Og O Duibheannaigh will throw a light-hearted theatrical humour on the proceedings.
