Sports Yoga supports the needs of those who enjoy getting the most from their bodies, improving performance and over all comfort and ease of movement.
The course provides a combination of Yoga, Pilates and Body Map Awareness designed to support the body by promoting suppleness in muscles and fascia as well as stability in the joints.
Through both active and passive holds the sequences focus on improving mobility i.e flexibility, strength and control.
You will gain an improved sense of body awareness and a better understanding of your mind's body maps and the role proprioception and your central nervous system has on your movement patterns.
Course teacher Roisin Kenny has 20 years yoga experience and has been developing her personal style of teaching over the past 8 years. She brings together Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga with Pilates to best support the needs of her students.
