Yoga, Naturopathy & Living in Balance: with guest Gaby Wieland
10:00 - 17:30
The Winter Light Immersion Series is designed to help you connect with your innate strengths and inner fire, your inner capacity for light, heat, wisdom and love even as the weather grows colder and the days grow darker.
Yoga, Naturopathy and The Art of Living in Balance is the fifth session in the Winter Light Immersion series but each day-long can be taken as a stand-alone experience and even though there will be threads of connection across all six sessions in the series, great benefit can be found in even just one day of winter light yoga—you’ll leave with resources to take off the mat and into your life.
The path of yoga invites a holistic approach, not only to the well-being of our individual body mind heart process, but also a holistic approach to the world around us. Yoga asks us to live in harmony with our natural environment both in terms of gracefully accepting the great and healing gifts nature bestows and also in terms of being aware of our effect on the people, plants and animals with whom we share our home, the beautiful, bountiful earth.
In this day-long retreat, in the morning we'll practice living in balance, through breathing techniques, dynamic postural practice and mind heart meditation practices.
In the afternoon, we have special guest teacher GABY WIELAND talking about Naturopathy and Herbalism. Naturopathy is a way of healing the body which targets the root causes of a problem. Using principles that promote healthcare and support the natural healing process, naturopathy utilises dietary, nutrition, herbs and detoxification techniques.
This is a whole day devoted to your self care and finding balance, especially important this time of year as we approach both the stresses and delights of Christmas--can we hold these in balance?
